Among CREDO software products one can distinguish a group of systems for processing topographical survey data. This group includes all the required solutions for solving problems from data pre-processing to the end goal — creating digital terrain model of engineering pattern and further design of the master plan.

PROCESSING FIELD MEASUREMENTS

CREDO geodetic product line systems allow you to process data obtained from:

  • total stations,
  • satellite stations,
  • digital levelling instruments,
  • laser scanners

Office analysis of ground geodetic measurements and results of post processing satellite measurements  can be carried out in CREDO_DAT PROFESSIONAL Data from any total stations available in the market can be imported to the program. The system allows processing tacheometry data for generating point, linear and area features and their attributes when using field coding. Creating a custom field coding system is available which allows a professional to optimize their workflow even to a greater extent. The program allows performing combined or separate adjustment of satellite measurements vectors and traditional measurements in linear-angle and vertical control networks of various forms, classes and creation methods.  At certain stage, a search for measurement errors can be carried out as well as a number of other engineering and geodetic tasks can be completed. The main deliverables are reports and drawings as well as files of commonly used formats.

CREDO_DAT LITE which includes a minimum amount of settings and a simplified calculation scheme can be used when working with plane local coordinates in a peer-to-peer network. CREDO_DAT LITE is your right hand for processing data obtained during construction, cadastral work and other tasks.

The processing of raw satellite geodetic measurements is available in CREDO GNSS.  Data can be imported in the formats of satellite geodetic receivers as well as in RINEX format. The program allows processing baselines with the use of observation data from satellite positioning systems such as GLONASS, GPS, BeiDou and Galileo in “static”, “cinematic” and “Stop&Go” modes. The system is able to perform calculation on GLONASS satellites without using other positioning systems, calculate projection parameters for unknown coordinate system using GNSS computations on points with reported coordinates, adjust a satellite geodetic network and solve many other problems The program offers a convenient way to work with graphical data, bitmap and WEB-images. It also allows creating a surface which can be used for evaluating quality of the work performed and creating topographic maps of a small size. The deliverables include reports and catalogues of corresponding type as well as files of commonly used formats.

NIVELIR processes measurements obtained as a result of I-IV order geometric levelling as well as high-accuracy engineering levelling made by optical and digital levelling instruments. The advantage is that the system can receive data both in the format of digital levelling instruments and in all common text formats. You can create traverses and sections from the data obtained, perform a preprocessing, search for errors, incorporate corrections if necessary and also carry out an adjustment.  At each stage, the engineer receives a report on the basis of which they can control each of these processes. Output documents are prepared and configured according to national or enterprise standards. The data can be prepared in digital format for further work in other CREDO software products.

Data received in the form of point clouds from mobile laser scanning systems and aerial laser scanners can be imported to CREDO 3D SCAN program.  Point clouds can be displayed either in 3D or 2D. Besides you can import *.KML photoimages with geospatial reference and use them along with a point cloud which will improve recognition of complicated situational objects and allow creating 3D/2D point and linear features on their basis. The program includes the feature of filtering the “noise” in the point cloud according to parameters, as well as adaptive downsampling of the point cloud and generating a digital surface model along with selecting the surface and areas with given slope parameters. At the final stage you can create and edit features which will help to prepare topographic maps for small projects. You can also export data to files of supported formats in order to create DTM of engineering pattern afterwards.

COORDINATE TRANSFORMATION

By using TRANSCOR you can convert coordinates from one coordinate system to another at ease, bring point coordinates to a system of your choice, configure CS conversion parameters, calculate conversion parameters of a local coordinate system, restore (set) object’s coordinate system in case if construction benchmarks (or control points) were lost. The system allows the users to prepare and issue all required reports and files.

It’s worth mentioning that CREDO_DAT PROFESSIONAL and CREDO GNSS have their own coordinate conversion modules. In CREDO_DAT PROFESSIONAL you can convert points from one system to another by one of the following methods: coordinate axes and height offset; affine transformation; Helmert transformation; rectangular coordinates to geodetic coordinates. In CREDO GNSS, when it’s required to work in a local coordinate system parameters of which are unknown, it’s possible to calculate the projection parameters for this coordinate system.

PROCESSING AND TRANSFORMING BITMAP IMAGES

Processing of cartographic materials, aerial photographs and space images is carried out in TRANSFORM system. You can import bitmap files of various formats as well as use Google Maps, Bing and Express Kosmosnimki services.  The program has a feature of saving the selected area of Google Maps WEB-image to the file with simultaneously loading it to the program in custom coordinate system.

In addition, you can choose required coordinate system, specify reference points coordinates, bitmap image georeference, merge images, transform by reference points.  It’s also possible to recognize and generate reference points in accordance with the selected scale and plan sheet size and then run control of references points that were created and specify control points. You can perform topographic maps reference by specifying four corner points and sheet names. The program has a feature of orthorectifying single satellite images by using altitude matrix. Deliverable is a bitmap substrate which can be saved to files of various formats.

PROCESSING THE RESULTS OF GEODETIC OBSERVATIONS ON BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION DEFORMATIONS

CREDO DEFORMATIONS analyses and interprets the results of repeated geodetic measurements obtained during observations on deformation processes.  The program can be used for monitoring the condition of buildings and constructions, observing deformation processes, controlling dangerous sections and solving other local tasks:  craneways post-construction survey, estimation of tower structures deformation etc. It’s possible to work with graphical data in 2D and view deformational surface in 3D, both in static mode and dynamically by observation cycles.  The program includes functional capabilities for analyzing the stability of network control points, processing and analyzing the results of deformational surfaces. The system calculates absolute settlements and deformations, the rate of deformations, tilt of constructions and structures, curvature of the deformation surface, trend line of deformation progress. In CREDO DEFORMATIONS you can use the data from CREDO_DAT, NIVELIR and TRANSFORM.  Deliverables are drawings, graphs, reports, repertory catalogues of calculated characteristics as well as files of popular formats.

CREATING DIGITAL TERRAIN MODEL

CREDO TOPOPLAN is a software solution for creating a digital terrain model of engineering pattern.

The program allows you to create a digital situation model and a digital relief model quickly and efficiently using the pre-integrated database which includes lines and hatchings, surface display styles, sizes, features, drawing and report templates and more. When creating a digital situation model a wide functionality is available that allows creating point, linear and area features based on the classifier included in the system.  A variety of tools and the algorithm for constructing a terrain model ensure the reliability of the model and the convenience of working with it. It’s possible to mark specific terrain areas by structural lines (ridges, cliffs, boundaries of swamps, land sections etc.), design vertical surfaces (curbs, embankment, revetment walls etc.) by means of structural lines with double profile and to create sections of an arbitrary lines for analyzing the created relief model. The design of the relief model is done using ready-made styles that correspond to the regulatory requirements.  The users can prepare all the necessary output documents — drawings, plan sheets and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.

With CREDO LINEAR SURVEY you can prepare a digital terrain model on the basis of linear survey data as well as create profiles and cross-sections of linear objects.  CREDO LINEAR SURVEY includes all the functionality of CREDO TOPOPLAN system.  The system includes functionality for modelling and viewing profiles of linear features including underground and land based facilities.  You can view a geological section along the longitudinal profile of a linear object and cross-sections. The deliverables include all required report documents: reports for deviation angles, direct and curved elements of alignment sheet, ranging of curve, profile marks as well as reports for semantic properties and features at site, along track line and intersecting with the line.

CREDO PIPELINE. SURVEY module is used for pipeline laying-out.  Main purposes of the module are creating and editing laying, reports, survey profile, drawings of plans and profiles of various linear objects. You can export data from CREDO PIPELINE. SURVEY to open interchange formats DXF and PXF which can be later imported to third-party systems.

Speaking of DTM creation process, one can distinguish CREDO TOPOGRAPH program. The purpose of this program is processing the data of geodetic field measurements and creating DTM on its basis.  It’s mostly suitable for those professionals who are accustomed to doing work quickly and efficiently on-site, however CREDO TOPOGRAPH is essential when working in the office too.  You can upload data from a total station, process geodetic data (preprocessing, search for measurement errors, adjustment) and then proceed to creating a digital terrain model. For your convenience, the program includes universal commands which have different methods of creating and editing objects grouped allowing to create (or edit) several elements of digital model at once: linear objects of different patterns, point objects in line’s node as well as area objects and regions provided that the line is circuit. In the course of construction, you can define markers of point objects and profiles of linear objects, add a semantic description, create captions and, in some cases, rebuild the terrain. The system supports various coordinate systems and converting data from one system to another.  The users can prepare all the necessary output documents — drawings, plan sheets and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as files of required formats.

Each of the products listed above allows you not only to create a digital surface model of engineering pattern (CREDO TOPOPLAN, CREDO LINEAR SURVEYS, CREDO TOPOGRAPH) but also solve many other tasks.

CALCULATING EARTH QUANTITIES

CREDO VOLUMES system is designed for automated modelling of terrains, calculation of volumes between them, maintaining calendar schedules of raw and construction materials extraction and storage as well as releasing text and graphical materials on the results of calculations.

A number of various data libraries are included in the system which makes it easier for an engineer to work in it. During the process of relief modelling it is possible to import the original data; for instance, you can load a ready-made terrain designed in another program or import points which are the basis for constructing a terrain.  The methods presented in the system allow you to design terrains incorporating or setting a number of conditions. CREDO VOLUMES system provides high speed and accuracy of earthwork volume calculations. As a result of the calculation, a report of volumes is generated as well as a project containing calculation data  with mound, digging and zero work regions. In addition you can create complex drawings (time schedule for the first year of pit mining, time schedule for sand and gravel mix, time schedule for the last year of pit mining etc.)

EXCHANGING DATA WITH THIRD-PARTY SYSTEMS

CREDO CONVERTER performs automated data exchange between CREDO III systems and third party systems in the field of construction design and geoinformational technologies.
You can export digital terrain models, digital situation models and design solutions from CREDO III systems to DXF (AutoCAD), MIF/MID (MapInfo) and TXF/SXF (Panorama). In this case the system exports data on point marks as well as on linear, point and area features. You can also create bitmap images of specific plan regions.
Functionality of CREDO CONVERTER guarantees a full-fledged data transfer which means no more limitations when choosing software products and an increase in efficiency  of joint work of different departments at all stages of constructional design — from obtaining source data to implementing the project on a worksite.
